In case you don’t know, there is a cracking new Assassins Creed game out there: Assassins Creed Origins is its name and this may come as a shock, but it depicts the Origins of the Assassins Creed. *Mind Blown* I know. Whether you are a lover or a hater of this series, this game really offers a lot!

My thoughts on Assassins Creed Origins?

What I really enjoyed about this game is that it remains true to the series, I mean I know we all loved being a pirate in Black Flag… but you weren’t really an assassin were you?… This you play Bayek (Bayek the bad ass!) a Medjay from Siwa who has had a traumatising past (that is putting it lightly, to be honest with you) what is a Medjay you may ask, well a Medjay is a protector of Egypt. This game drops some major historical people into the mix and lets you see the world of Ancient Egypt. Now if you are history nerd like me, then this is bliss in its own right. You visit Alexandra, Alexander the Great’s Tomb, Memphis, The Pyramids Ft. their cladding, The Lighthouse of Alexandra, The Great Library of Alexandra. Is that all? Course not!

But the people you “bump” into along the way are just casual people like Cleopatra and Julius Ceasar.

Usually I really, REALLY hate whenever you were taken out of the Animus (I want to be a pirate, not some faceless dude in a company! Come On!) But this game was very enjoyable when you left the Animus, there was so much to discover and you genuinely wanted to learn more.

It is an amazing game, the quests are interesting and fulfilling. Some of them are heartbreaking. You learn why Assassins have a cut-off ring finger on their left hand. AND you find out where they got their symbol from.

Pippa Ratings:

Gameplay – 10/10
Presentation –  10/10
Enjoyment – 9/10

Final Score: 29/30

Conclusion:

I find it so hard to fault this game, I know that some people might not like it, but it was everything I wanted from the Origin story of Assassins Creed. I give this game a solid 29 out of 30. There were a couple of glitches that made it 28/30, but the extra point was CAUSE YOU CAN PET THE CATS PEOPLE!!!
